This policy explains what personal information Smart Services collects through this website, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it. It applies to sseastbourne.co.uk and to enquiries you send us through it.

Smart Services provides domestic and commercial cleaning, vehicle and machinery valeting, and waste clearance across Eastbourne and East Sussex. We are the data controller for the information described here.

Our contact form asks for your name, email address, phone number, and details of the work you need. We use this only to answer your enquiry, quote for the work, and arrange the job. We do not use it for marketing unless you ask us to.
The lawful basis is legitimate interests: you have asked us to quote, and we need these details to reply. Where a quote becomes a booking, we process the same details to perform our contract with you.
We use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand which pages people visit and how they found us. This sets cookies in your browser and shares your IP address and browsing behaviour with Google. We use it to improve the site, not to identify you individually.
Our contact form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which checks whether you are a real person. Google collects hardware and software information from your device for this purpose. Its use is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means Google receives a request from your browser including your IP address when a page loads.
We do not sell your information and we do not share it for advertising. Your details are handled by the service providers who run this website and our email, specifically our web host, our email provider, and Google for the analytics and anti-spam functions described above. Each acts on our instructions or under its own published terms.
We may disclose information where we are legally required to do so.
Enquiries that do not become bookings are kept while they are still commercially useful and then deleted. Records relating to work we have carried out are kept for six years after the end of the relationship, to meet HMRC record-keeping requirements and to handle any dispute or insurance claim. Analytics data is retained according to the retention period set in our Google Analytics property.
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, delete it, restrict how we use it, or object to us using it. You can also ask us to transfer it to another provider where that applies.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113. We would rather you raised it with us first so we can put it right.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Analytics cookies are not needed for the site to work, so blocking them will not stop you browsing or contacting us. You can also install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
